Angela Perone, Esq. | staff attorney
Angela joined NCLR as a staff attorney in 2012. Prior to joining NCLR, Angela worked at a small plaintiff-side law firm where she litigated civil rights cases, mostly pertaining to employment law. Angela also completed a judicial clerkship at the San Francisco Superior Court for the Honorable Patrick Mahoney and Honorable Ronald Quidachay and a fellowship at Equal Rights Advocates. At ERA, she supervised the advice and counseling program, conducted public education trainings on harassment and leaves of absence, and engaged in legislative advocacy and litigation on issues pertaining to sex discrimination in education and employment.
While attending law school, Angela served as managing editor for the Hastings Women's Law Journal and completed an externship with the Honorable Thelton Henderson and legal internships at the Legal Aid Society-Employment Law Center, Center for WorkLife Law, ACLU of Northern California, ACLU's National Legislative Office, and Equal Rights Advocates.
Angela currently serves on the San Francisco Human Rights Commission’s LGBT Advisory Committee and volunteers with the AIDS Legal Referral Panel, Workers’ Rights Clinic, and San Francisco Botanical Garden Society.
Angela received her B.A. from the University of Illinois in 2003 with concentrations in Women's Studies, Afro-American Studies, and Political Science. Angela received her J.D. from UC Hastings College of the Law in 2006 with a concentration in Public Interest Law.
