Dena Zaldúa-Hilkene | assistant director of development
Dena Zaldúa-Hilkene has been with NCLR's development department since 2002, where her focus is individual giving, particularly major gifts. Dena is passionate about philanthropy and the ways in which it can bring about social change, in particular through community-based fundraising. Originally from the Bay Area, Dena worked at the Horizons Foundation and Williams College - from which she also graduated in 1998 with a degree in art history - prior to coming to NCLR. She has also been a volunteer fundraiser for the Transgender Law Center, Proyecto ContraSIDA Por Vida, and Lyon-Martin Women's Health Services. Dena lives in and works remotely from Eugene, Oregon, where she lives with her husband and their dog.
